Coldplay India concert: BookMyShow warns fans against unauthorised ticket sales

Coldplay concert tickets for India tour proved to be a disappointing experience for most fans. While a few lucky people did manage to buy the tickets, most could not get their chances before everything was soldout. A third show was also added for eager fans, but there were as many as 11 lakh people queueing up, and just a few managing to actually buy the tickets. Soon after the sale, BookMyShow warned fans against unauthorised sale of tickets.
BookMyShow holds the exclusive rights to Coldplay concert tickets in India. “It has come to our attention that unauthorised platforms are listing tickets for Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025 in India, both before and after the official sale. These tickets are invalid,” the post read. “Ticket scalping is illegal in India and punishable by law. Please don’t fall prey to this because you will be buying fake tickets. Avoid scams! BookMyShow is the only official platform for ticket sales,” the post mentioned.
The caption read, “Protect Yourself from Ticket Scams! Don’t fall prey to unauthorized platforms selling fake tickets for Coldplay’s Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025 in India (sic)!”
BookMyShow had crashed just moments before the first ticket sale began today, September 22, at 12 pm. It resumed in around 15 minutes.
After a nine-year hiatus, Coldplay is returning to India. The iconic British band will perform in Mumbai on January 18, 19 and 21, 2025.
